Black in Material
Calligraphy, Workshop
Founded in 2018, Black in Material is led by Rotterdam-based calligraphy artist Yu-Tzu Huang, the platform explores contemporary ink art through an open and experimental approach, expanding public understanding of contemporary ink practices through exhibitions, workshops, and cross-disciplinary collaborations. Black in Material was invited to participate in the Embassy Festival in Den Haag in 2022, presented live improvisational writing and public workshops at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum’s X-site project Analogue Forest in 2024, and took part in Taiwan Culture Day in 2025.
